Raster (web) and line art images, commonly referred to as figures, can be inserted into a Document Figure Fragment. To achieve the full benefits of the delivery platform (tekReader) converting line art to SVG will provide an optimal user experience when viewing figures.

There are two methods to inserting figures, they are:

• upload and insert a figure one by one from a file system
• upload all the figures to the tekAuthor CMS and then search for the figure to insert

The best method can be determined by the number of figures that are included in a document and an author’s chosen approach.
