This KM contains general information and step by step guidelines on how to use tekReader.
tekReader adopts a conventional eReader look and feel. It consists of top/side menu items and pages that serve up rich content.
Select the settings top menu item to print, view single/double page, change password and sign in/up options.
tekReader breaks the rules of a conventional HTML page that scrolls up and down by paginating back and forth.
Select the publication list top menu item to display a list of public or private documents.
Add, update or delete personal notes from tekReader pages.
The contents side menu provides tabs that include navigational links for ToC, LoT, LoF and other list types.
The notes side menu stores and provides links to personal notes that have been added to the pages.
The search side menu provides a tab to enter and link to search criteria and a tab to retain search criteria history.
The feedback side menu contains a form to enter feedback or comments.
The help side menu contains information and links to assist the user in the overall understanding of tekReader.
Select a thumbnail image to display the SVG Viewer that responds and adapts to the browser size being used.
Select a thumbnail image to display the Graphic Viewer that responds and adapts to the browser size being used.
Equations can be rendered and displayed in tekReader using MathML and MathJax.
Definition terms can be accessed and displayed from tekReader pages and/or a tab contained in the contents side menu.
Video enhances the reader experience by providing another method of communication rather than text and graphics.
Footnotes can be accessed and displayed from tekReader pages and/or linked to from a tab in the contents side menu.
tekReader supports the Unicode industry standard to that documents can be rendered and displayed in multiple languages.
