Conversion Formats
Data conversion to and from any of: Word, XML/SGML, HTML, FrameMaker, Interleaf, Folio, PDF, Database formats, DTP formats (i.e., Quark, Ventura, etc.).

Capture from Paper
Even in the age of the computer, valuable intellectual capital still lies "trapped" in paper-based documents.

We have the expertise to recapture this data and liberate it into the electronic format or formats of your choice.

Document and Data Analysis
Publishing information to the web seems so simple these days with all those "Save as HTML" tools on the market, but there's a lot more to consider if you want to get the most from your data - indexing, cross-referencing, re-usability, editing and update, searchability and other functionality, not to mention the need to eliminate duplication.

eGloo's methodology involves a detailed analysis of the structure of existing data and documents, along with the gathering of requirements for all aspects of authoring, management, indexing, and presentation of the captured data.

DTD and Schema Creation
Media-neutral storage of data in XML format is the preferred option for many organisations these days.

We can develop a DTD or XML Schema that fits your unique requirements, or we can select or customise an industry standard DTD or XML Schema.

Data Capture Outsourcing
With the high cost of local onshore data capture and markup, many organisations now look to minimise the costs of large scale projects by turning to offshore service providers.

Inspection, Verification, and Acceptance Testing
Anyone can promise 99.995% accuracy of captured or converted data, but can they even provide an agreed definition of what that figure actually means. How do you know what level of accuracy you really needed in the first place, and how do you confirm that the data as delivered even meets the promised standard.

eGloo's methodology for data inspection and acceptance testing is based on International Standard ISO2859-1, and provides an efficient and cost-effective basis for verifying that agreed quality levels have been met.

eGloo does not sell or promote any specific authoring tools, conversion programs, or data management tools. However, we do have the expertise to match the best tool, or combination of tools and applications, to meet your needs, and to configure them to your unique requirements.

Getting Started
An experienced eGloo consultant will spend a day with your organsition, analysing your data capture and conversion needs, and communicating with key stakeholders.
