eGloo Instrumental in NZPCO PAL Project Major Milestone Achievement

27 January 2006

A major milestone for the PAL Project was reached on Friday, 23 December 2005 when the New Zealand PCO accepted the Functional and Non-Functional Specifications, the Legislation Output Specification, and the DTD Guide, and formally signed them off. These baseline documents now form the foundations for the remaining design, development, and testing phases of the project.

George Tanner, QC, Chief Parliamentary Counsel said, "The PCO Management Team wishes to acknowledge the significant work done by PCO, IRD, and OC staff and contractors, and the Unisys team and subcontractors, to reach this point. The next phase for the PCO includes the preparation of test scripts for use in Systems Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing, while Unisys focuses on design and development work."

eGloo is subcontracting to Unisys New Zealand and was a major contributor in delivering Document Type Definitions (DTDs), documentation and data samples for this major milestone. Once the design and development work is signed off eGloo will be instrumental in the conversion of legislative legacy data to XML.
